Overview

Pilot Company is an industry-leading network of travel centers with over 30,000 team members and more than 750 retail and fueling locations. The DEF Blending and Maintenance Technician conducts blending operations and provides equipment maintenance at Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) blending plants.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily DEF blending process and collect and submit product samples.
  • Perform light plant maintenance to prevent equipment failure.
  • Collaborate with the DEF Rail Movements Specialist to schedule rail car deliveries of DEF concentrate.
  • Troubleshoot equipment repairs for technical and mechanical issues.
  • Ensure all safety and operational procedures are followed at the blending site.
  • Recommend improvements for DEF plant operations and assist in implementing operational changes.
  • Travel to other DEF sites to conduct blending operations as needed.
  • Model behaviors that support the company’s common purpose.
  • Ensure all activities comply with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent certificate required.
  • Valid state driver’s license and positive driving history required.
  • Minimum two years’ technical maintenance experience preferred.
  • Basic Microsoft office skills preferred.
  • Good technical skills and understanding of flow measurement equipment and systems.
  • Ability to use hand tools to replace or repair pumps and other heavy equipment.
