Overview

Interstate Assembly Systems is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for their Surprise, Arizona location, offering competitive wages. The role is essential for ensuring the efficient operation and upkeep of the facility, with responsibilities including routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks and conduct inspections.
• Address repair needs promptly.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for employees and visitors.
• Perform monthly inspections and testing of fire extinguishers and eye wash equipment.
• Identify and correct minor repairs and upkeep of facility equipment.
• Complete monthly inspections and preventative maintenance on various equipment.
• Perform preventative and reactive repairs on production equipment.
• Repair and maintain forklifts and sandblast equipment.
• Upkeep and repairs on compressor and air systems.
• Weld and machine parts for repairs when necessary.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 4 years mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience in facility maintenance or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fabrication.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues effectively.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift heavy objects (50 pounds) and perform physical tasks.
• Experience with troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems up to 480 volts.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing 2–5-ton overhead Kone bridge cranes.
• Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).
• Strong knowledge of Lock Out Tag Out procedures.
• Knowledge of Computer Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Knowledge of rigging and rigging safety.
