MEI Rigging & Crating is seeking a Heavy Equipment Fleet Mechanic in Garland, Texas. The company has grown to be one of the largest providers of rigging and related services in the U.S., emphasizing integrity, professionalism, and employee development.

Responsibilities

• Perform mid-level mechanic work on gas and diesel vehicles.
• Conduct inspections and diagnostic tests to determine vehicle condition.
• Complete preventive maintenance schedules and install component upgrades.
• Correct vehicle deficiencies by repairing, adjusting, and replacing parts.
• Verify vehicle performance through test drives and system adjustments.
• Maintain vehicle records by annotating services and repairs.
• Ensure shop equipment operates by following instructions and performing maintenance.
• Control costs by utilizing warranties and evaluating service options.
• Manage inventory by ordering and verifying supplies.
• Enhance the maintenance department's reputation by accepting new requests.

Requirements

• Minimum ten (10) years proven fleet mechanic experience.
• Experience in the construction industry is preferred.
• Ability to use precision measuring tools and various hand and power tools.
• Rigging experience is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and interpersonal skills.
