Overview

At DXP, we are dedicated to providing high-quality customer service and innovative solutions for industrial customers. We are looking for a Structural Welder who will be responsible for various welding tasks and equipment fabrication.

Responsibilities

• Perform mig and flux-cored welding.
• Conduct carbon steel, steel, and stainless-steel welding.
• Receive instructions, prints, and work orders for the job.
• Plan details of working procedure, tools, and material requirements.
• Fabricate equipment by cutting, burning, and welding various metals.
• Repair equipment using welding techniques and appropriate welding equipment.
• Clean and prepare surfaces to be welded.
• Set up, assemble, and tack weld parts.
• Build up worn or defective surfaces.
• Use burning equipment to dismantle assemblies and cut material to size and shape.
• Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly.

Requirements

• 5 years of welding experience.
• Familiarity with iron worker, plasma cutter, pipe threader, and grinders.
• Background check, physical, and drug test required.
• Welding certificate.

Additional Information

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted.
• Shop environment.
• Day Shift, Monday through Friday 6am to 5pm.
