Overview

GE Aerospace is seeking a Tig Welder for their Lynn, MA facility to perform layout, set-up, and welding on aircraft engine components. This role offers opportunities to work with exotic materials and receive training for necessary certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Perform layout, set-up, and welding on various aircraft engine component parts and assemblies.
  • Expand career by welding exotic materials into critical parts for commercial and military aircraft.
  • Achieve necessary certifications through training.
  • Ensure work meets required quality and efficiency levels.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • 1 year of TIG welding experience in a manufacturing environment or completion of a welding co-op or course with a certified agent.
  • Ability to pass initial welding skills demonstration.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Distance Vision 20/30 and Near Vision ability to read Jaeger No. 2 type at 16 inches.
  • Ability to lift, move, and manipulate fixtures and component hardware up to 25 lbs.
