Overview

RK Industries, LLC is a family-owned enterprise that offers a diverse range of construction, manufacturing, and building services. The Field Welder position involves performing technical responsibilities related to welding and mechanical installations under varying levels of supervision.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sufficient personal hand tools for assigned tasks.
• Ensure quality workmanship on all mechanical system installations.
• Schedule daily and weekly trade activities.
• Handle trade related material, tool, and equipment requisitions.
• Ensure trade specific workforce quality.
• Meet or exceed established production standards.
• Identify sub-standard situations in pipefitting.
• Perform pipe welding using SMAW, GTAW, and GMAW.
• Seal pipe entirely with an aesthetically pleasing, solid weld.

Requirements

• Field Welder 1 requires indirect supervision and technical responsibilities.
• Field Welder 2 requires direct supervision and technical responsibilities.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of concepts, techniques, and procedures.
• Coordinate tasks under established procedures.
• Requires judgment or initiative in resolving issues.
• Skilled specialist or recent college/university graduate.
• Role specific skills and experience required.

Additional Information

• Work outside, inside, and in dusty, noisy, and hazardous areas.
• Must have working knowledge of all trade materials and tools.
• Ability to lift and carry 51 to 75 lbs occasionally.
