Overview

The Welder 2 position involves welding, fabricating, and assisting pipe fitters in the installation of industrial piping systems. Candidates must pass a weld test and have significant experience in various welding conditions and techniques.

Responsibilities

• Selects equipment and plans layouts, assembly, and welding.
• Layouts, positions, aligns, cuts, assembles, and fits metal components.
• Bolts, clamps, and tack-welds parts to secure them for welding.
• Sets up equipment and welds parts using various welding techniques.
• Welds metal materials to piping systems equipment using appropriate procedures.
• Identifies all equipment for the job and process.
• Identifies all safety risks and requirements.

Requirements

• Must pass a 2" Extra heavy carbon steel weld test in 6G position.
• Ability to weld in 2g, 4g, and 6g conditions.
• Must be able to Stick and Tig weld on Pipe.
• Must have current applicable welding certification with Zachry or pass a weld test.
• Must have 4+ years of welding experience.
• Must have all required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Must meet all physical requirements.
• Must have all required tools upon start date.
