Overview
The Welder position at GE Aerospace's Terre Haute Facility involves performing various welding operations for military and commercial engine components in a state-of-the-art, environmentally controlled facility. Responsibilities
- Perform basic weld operations including work set-up and material handling.
- Weld material with TIG welder.
- Assemble rework parts.
- Certify several material types for TIG and/or EB Welding.
- Prepare parts for welding.
- Use manual, automatic, and dabber TIG welding equipment.
- Inspect finished welds and identify defects.
- Measure parts with precision measuring tools.
- Maintain perishable tools and replace or stock as necessary.
- Read blueprints and apply them to assemble parts.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and business initiatives.
- Keep work area safe and clean.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 6 months to 1 year of TIG welding experience.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
