Overview

GTI is a contract manufacturing partner that supports customers in renewable energy, power generation, infrastructure, and industrial systems by fabricating custom designed enclosures and performing mechanical and electrical integration in-house.

Responsibilities

  • Fit-up piece parts in fixturing according to detail drawings.
  • Tack weld parts together in equipment, ensuring all dimensions are correct.
  • Weld complete assembly according to specified welding standards.
  • Correct fabrication mistakes and incorporate approved design changes.
  • Fabricate shop fixtures as required by assembly personnel.
  • Meet production schedule, quality, and planned labor hours with limited supervision.
  • Utilize hand and power shop tools.
  • Read blueprints and drawings to plan layout and procedures.
  • Determine appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements.
  • Set up components for welding according to specifications.
  • Operate angle grinders to prepare parts for welding.
  • Align components and clamp pieces for welding.
  • Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions.
  • Repair machinery and components by welding pieces and filling gaps.
  • Test and inspect welded surfaces and structures for flaws.
  • Maintain equipment to ensure safety.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a welder.
  • Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing.
  • Attention to detail and deftness.

Additional Information

  • Shifts available: 1st 7am - 4pm, 2nd 3:30pm - 12am, 3rd 10pm - 6:30am.
