Overview

As a Welder at Wabtec, you will work with a talented team to deliver quality products while adhering to safety and production standards. This role involves following engineering drawings to assemble various products and continuously seeking improvements in production processes.

Responsibilities

  • Follow specified work instructions and engineering parts drawings to assemble products.
  • Ensure the quality of work and meet production standards.
  • Use company machinery and be willing to train on new systems.
  • Perform as an Operator/Laborer as needed and transition between positions.
  • Utilize hand tools such as grinders and sanders.
  • Adhere to all safety rules and perform duties safely and efficiently.

Requirements

  • Must perform qualified welds with high quality and efficiency on TTC products.
  • TIG and GMAW short arc experience is required.
  • Stainless steel welding experience is a plus.
  • Must successfully complete the required welding test.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Must comprehend, speak, and write in English.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills are required.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints is necessary.
  • Must maintain attendance as defined by company policy.
  • High School Diploma or related equivalent is required.
  • Trade school certificate or related equivalent is preferred.
  • Combination of education and experience will be considered.

Additional Information

  • Must be able to work multiple shifts if needed.
  • Day Shift: 5:00 am to 3:30 pm Monday thru Thursday.
  • Second Shift: 3:30 pm to 2:00 am Monday afternoon thru Friday morning.
