Overview

Nordson Medical, a global leader in Interventional Solutions, Fluid Components, and Surgical Solutions, is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join their team as a Machinist I. The role involves working in a dynamic and collaborative environment, contributing to precision manufacturing tooling and fixtures.

Responsibilities

  • Comply with the Quality Management System, Company, and departmental procedures.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols.
  • Demonstrate machining skills and operate at least 1 major machining area.
  • Fabricate, polish, and inspect manufacturing tools.
  • Backup CNC Machinist with Master Cam experience.
  • Machine set-up and operation of assigned work center(s).
  • Apply knowledge of appropriate feeds, speeds, and tooling for a range of materials.
  • Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics.
  • Maintain equipment in good working condition.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on machines and other company equipment.
  • Perform bench work such as filing, de-burring, grinding, and lapping.
  • Maintain tooling records in the business management system.
  • Keep machines and work area clean and organized.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Perform various other duties assigned by Supervisor.

Requirements

  • High School or Trade School Diploma, and/or GED Equivalent.
  • 0-5 years’ experience in machining or related field with appropriate certifications.
  • Moderate computer skills to navigate internal systems.
  • Weld parts using Tig and Mig welder (desired but not essential).
  • Sheet metal programming, setup, processing (desired but not essential).
  • Programming, setup and operation of CNC millers and CNC lathes (backup role).
  • CAD/CAM skills (MasterCAM) (backup role).
  • Novice working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (data entry).
