Overview

Pipe Welders are key contributors to our fabrication team, specializing in high-quality welding and fitting work that ensures the structural integrity and performance of critical systems. This role brings advanced technical skills to every step of the process, from blueprint interpretation and setup to producing X-ray quality welds.

Responsibilities

• Selects equipment, plans layouts, assembly, and welding.
• Layout, position, align, cut, assemble, and fit metal components together.
• Legibly document all weld information and create weld maps.
• Bolts, clamps, and tack-welds parts to secure in position for welding.
• Sets up equipment and welds parts using the gas metal arc welding process.
• Identify all safety risks and requirements.
• Assist pipe fitters in pipe installation, preparation, and fabrication.

Requirements

• Must pass 6G GMAW weld test before hire.
• Must have 2+ years of experience welding industrial size and grade pipe.
• Must be able to read blueprints and interpret technical manuals.
• Must have thorough knowledge of various metals and correct welding processes.
• Must have experience welding multiple types of pipe including carbon steel and stainless.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be able to work at heights as required.
• Must be able to meet all physical requirements.
• Must have all the tools upon start date.

• Working conditions include exposure to dirt, dust, grease, oil, vibrations, and adverse weather.
• Must be able to safely access all areas of property and work in confined spaces.
• Strenuous physical demands are required to safely perform the essential functions.
