Overview
A Combination Pipe Welder will weld, fabricate and assist pipe fitters in the installation of various types of industrial pipe into the project's piping systems. Responsibilities
- Selects equipment, plans layouts, assembly, and welding.
- Layouts, positions, aligns, cuts, assembles, and fits metal components together.
- Legibly documents all weld information and creates weld maps.
- Bolts, clamps, and tack-welds parts to secure in position for welding.
- Sets up equipment and welds parts using various welding techniques.
- Identifies all safety risks and requirements.
- Must be able to Stick and Tig weld on Pipe.
- Assists pipe fitters in pipe installation, preparation, and fabrication.
Requirements
- Must have 4+ years of experience welding on industrial size and grade pipe.
- Must be able to weld in 2g, 4g, and 6g positions.
- Must be able to read blueprints and interpret technical manuals.
- Must have thorough knowledge of various metals and correct welding processes.
- Must have experience welding multiple types of pipe including carbon steel, stainless, and chrome.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must be able to work at heights as required.
- Must be able to meet all physical requirements.
- Must have all the tools upon start date.
