Overview

McCarthy Fabrication, LLC, located in Sanford, Florida, is seeking a full-time field Installer/welder with experience in various metal installations. The position involves significant mobility across the state, primarily in Central Florida, with occasional overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Install RTU curbs, handrails, stairs, landings, roof access ladders, and gates.
• Work primarily in the field with some shop duties.
• Communicate politely with site superintendents, homeowners, and customers.
• Read blueprints and engineered drawings.
• Submit receipts daily.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of field experience.
• At least 4g certified in steel stick welding or able to pass a recertification test.
• Experience in installing stairs, landings, handrails, and roof access ladders.
• Clean driving record.
• Clean background check.
• Ability to think on your feet and problem solve.
• Ability to work with a small team.
• Ability to work at various heights and in confined spaces.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to use a smartphone for business purposes.
• Ability to work without supervision.
• Ability to comfortably lift 80 pounds.
• Ability to haul and reverse with a loaded trailer.

Additional Information

• Position is 80-90% mobile and may become 100% mobile as the company grows.
