Overview

Responsibilities

• Selects equipment, plans layouts, assembly, and welding.
• Layouts, positions, aligns, cuts, assembles, and fits metal components.
• Legibly documents all weld information and creates weld maps.
• Bolts, clamps, and tack-welds parts to secure in position for welding.
• Sets up equipment and welds parts using various welding techniques.
• Identifies all safety risks and requirements.
• Performs Stick and Tig welding on pipe.
• Reads blueprints and interprets technical manuals and engineering drawings.
• Possesses knowledge of various metals characteristics and welding processes.
• Welds multiple types of pipe including carbon steel, stainless, and chrome.
• Assists pipe fitters in pipe installation, preparation, and fabrication.
• Maintains reliable transportation and meets physical requirements.
• Works at heights and uses required PPE.

Requirements

• Must have 4+ years of experience welding on industrial size and grade pipe.
• Able to weld in 2g, 4g, and 6g positions.
• Must have thorough knowledge of various metals and welding processes.
• Must have all required tools upon start date.
