Overview

The Aluminum Welder position involves the fabrication process of joining materials, primarily metals, using high temperature to melt parts together. The role requires specific functional knowledge and experience in welding aluminum, with responsibilities under general supervision and potential guidance for less experienced team members.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and join aluminum materials using high temperature welding techniques.
• Assist in developing solutions to moderate scope and complexity problems.
• Provide guidance to less experienced team members as needed.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience welding aluminum in a production environment.
• 2+ years of experience in material preparation, including cleaning, cutting, grinding, and preparing aluminum surfaces.
• Experience with safety compliance and adherence to company safety regulations.
• Knowledge of MIG and TIG welding machines and techniques.
• Ability to perform MIG and TIG welding on aluminum with appropriate shielding gases and filler rods.
• Ability to inspect finished welds for defects such as porosity or cracks.
• Ability to read, interpret, and fabricate from technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
• HS diploma or GED.
• Welding Certification.
