Overview

The Stainless Steel Pipe Welder position in Glen Burnie, MD requires a skilled individual with at least 4 years of experience in welding stainless steel pipes using various processes. The role involves flexibility in work environment and hours, including potential night shifts and outdoor work.

Responsibilities

  • Weld stainless steel pipe using STICK (SMAW) and TIG (GTAW) processes.
  • Perform 2" Socket Weld and 1-1/2" 24" Butt Weld (SCH 40 & SCH 80 Wall Thickness).
  • Pass 2" 6G Pipe Test and weld in all positions.
  • Ensure weld quality passes X-ray test.
  • Work at least 40 hours per week, with potential for 7-12's as required by contract.
  • Adapt to dirty or clean work environments as needed.
  • Be flexible to work night shifts if necessary.
  • Work indoors and outdoors regardless of weather conditions.
  • Be willing to take on tasks outside of welding if necessary.

Requirements

  • 4 years of overall welding experience.
  • Ability to set up welding machine and adjust for the process and material.
  • Must pass a welding test to be hired by MAIC.
  • Own transportation and willingness to work within the MAIC region (MD, Southern PA, Northern VA, Eastern WV, and DE).
  • US Citizen or Green Card Verified.

Additional Information

  • 100% in office role with travel.
  • 4-10's schedule (Mon Thu or Tues Fri), starting at 6:30 AM.
