Overview
Powell is an engineered to order manufacturer of switchgear and electrical equipment for the power generation industry. As a Wireperson, you will perform various wiring tasks within the Electrical Assembly department, ensuring proper functioning of electrical systems and components.
Responsibilities
- Use hand tools to perform tasks.
- Run and bundle wires according to Powell wiring standards.
- Layout, install, drill and tap devices onto doors and back pans.
- Install name plates and space heaters.
- Install and terminate CTs.
- Operate continuity buzzers.
- Terminate and run wire for MCC, SWGR, and harnesses according to wire diagram.
- Promote a safety culture and attend all safety meetings.
- Ensure that work areas remain clean and well organized.
- Perform in process inspections.
Requirements
- Minimum education level of a High School Diploma or General Education Equivalent Diploma is preferred.
- Ability to read and understand point-to-point wiring diagrams.
- Ability to read and use a tape measure.
- Must have a basic command of the English language, both written and verbal.
- Safely use a variety of hand/power tools.
- Lift up to 50lbs using proper lifting techniques.

- Four 10s Schedule: Monday-Thursday 2:30pm-1:00am.
