Overview

The Fabrication Helper position involves physical tasks such as standing, walking, and lifting, while assisting with the preparation, fabrication, and installation of piping systems. Candidates must be capable of working in various weather conditions and wearing personal protective equipment.

Responsibilities

• Identify all tools required for tasks.
• Identify safety risks and the precautions required to eliminate those risks.
• Assist with preparation, fabrication, installation, and fitting of pipe to specifications.
• Assist with the installation of valves, hangers, supports, and flanges inside piping systems according to plans and specifications.
• Assist with testing to ensure the quality of the pipe and piping systems.
• Assist with hoisting loads using slings, chains, shackles, hooks, cables, and other rigging equipment.

Additional Information

• Must be capable of working outside in various weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, snow, and wind.
• Must be able to work for long periods of time up to 12 hours a day.
• May be required to assist welders with grinding.
