Overview

At Northrop Grumman, employees work on revolutionary systems that impact lives globally. The company is seeking a Master Manufacturing Technician for the 2nd Shift in Chandler, AZ, to perform various technical duties in a highly skilled nonexempt role.

Responsibilities

• Perform fastening, assembly, and assist engineers in the development of designs and tests.
• Draft detailed drawings for fabrication.
• Devise, fabricate, and assemble new or modified mechanical components.
• Set up and test complete prototype units and subassemblies under operational conditions.
• Analyze data and recommend modifications to meet specifications.
• Perform multiple technician duties including mechanical, harnesses, electronic, flight test, and general technician tasks.
• Maintain strong communication skills and assist in the development of team members.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent and 6 years additional education and/or related experience within manufacturing.
• Active U.S. Government Secret security clearance at time of application.
• Proficient with work instructions, engineering drawings, and technical manuals.
• Experience with connector population, wire cutting, contact crimping, and general mechanical assembly.
• Ability to mentor and train peers and newer technicians.
• Document actions by completing production plans and complying with quality standards.
• Able and willing to work 2nd shift: 3:30pm-1:00am.
