CAE is a global leader in defense and security, and civil aviation, focused on enhancing mission readiness through innovative training solutions. The Manufacturing Technician role involves various assembly tasks in a team-oriented environment, requiring travel and adaptability.
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of non-routine and non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and mechanical assemblies.
- Use common hand and power tools, jigs, and saws for assembly tasks.
- Determine methods and sequences of assembly operations with incomplete information.
- Work from Engineering sketches, diagrams, schematics, and drawings.
- Fabricate, assemble, modify, and integrate system hardware.
- Participate in device teardown and site installation, requiring travel for up to eight weeks.
- Work possible shifts including swing, second, or third shift.
- Close applicable Manufacturing Order routing steps in Deltek Costpoint.
- Generate Nonconforming Material Reports as necessary.
- Assist in collecting data for Engineering Change Requests.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent experience in electrical/mechanical assemblies.
- Experience working with Engineering sketches, diagrams, schematics, and drawings.
- Skilled in using common hand and power tools.
- Exhibit a teamwork attitude.
- Current passport is desired for overseas travel.
- Ability to lift 40-50 pounds and work in physically demanding conditions.
- Must have or be able to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance.
