Overview

Manufacturing Technicians perform various assembly operations, including mechanical and electrical tasks, and are required to travel both domestically and internationally. Candidates must possess PCB soldering skills and work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of non-routine and non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and mechanical assemblies.
  • Use common hand and power tools, jigs, and saws.
  • Determine methods and sequences of assembly operations where complete information may not be readily available.
  • Work from Engineering sketches, diagrams, schematics, and drawings.
  • Fabricate, assemble, modify, and rework subassemblies and assemblies.
  • Participate in device teardown and site installation, requiring travel to field sites.
  • May work overtime and on various shifts as required.
  • Close applicable Manufacturing Order routing steps and generate Nonconforming Material Reports.
  • Assist in collecting data for Engineering Change Requests.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience with electrical/mechanical assemblies.
  • PCB component level soldering skills.
  • Experience working with Engineering sketches, diagrams, schematics, and drawings.
  • Familiarity with common hand and power tools, jigs, and saws.
  • Exhibit a team-first attitude.
  • Current passport desired for overseas travel.
  • Ability to lift 40-50 pounds and work in various physical positions.
  • Must have or be eligible for a DoD Secret security clearance.

Additional Information

  • Full-time position with possible part-time depending on workload.
  • Day shift primarily, but swing and second shifts may be required.
  • Travel could be up to 75-80% of the time.
  • Work performed in climate-controlled environments, but may require outdoor work.
