Overview

At GTM, we deliver a variety of landscape groundcoverings across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic. We are seeking a skilled and dependable Full-Time Mechanic to join our team, offering excellent pay and benefits for exceptional labor.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
  • Perform preventative maintenance and equipment inspections
  • Troubleshoot and repair small engines, gas engines, and diesel engines
  • Identify problems quickly and provide effective repair solutions
  • Maintain accurate service records and complete work orders
  • Ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently
  • Keep a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Manage fleet compliance by ensuring all trucks and equipment are properly registered, inspected, and meet all DOT regulations
  • Coordinate and track annual inspections, registration renewals, and required compliance documentation
  • Assist in maintaining a preventative maintenance schedule for company vehicles and equipment

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of mechanic experience required
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with small engine repair and diesel engine diagnostics
  • Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, fuel, and brake systems preferred
  • Familiarity with DOT regulations, inspections, and fleet compliance requirements
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently
  • Valid driver's license required
  • CDL is a plus but not required
