Overview

The Production Assembler - F35 position involves assembling and installing various components of the F35 aircraft. Candidates should have prior experience in production assembly or mechanical work and be skilled in reading blueprints and using hand tools.

Responsibilities

  • Using jigs and fixtures, rivet upsetting and bench assembly equipment, and hand tools to assemble and install components.
  • Using rules, squares, protractors, and dividers to ensure accurate assembly and installation.
  • Reading and interpreting detail, assembly, and installation blueprints or other authorized documents.
  • Using arithmetic, including decimals and fractions, to perform calculations and measurements.
  • Working to tolerances as required for the type of work described.

Requirements

  • Requires twelve months previous experience in production assembly-type work or mechanical experience such as HVAC, Automotive, Construction, or bench assembly.
  • Must be able to read assembly blueprints.
  • Must be familiar with basic hand tools.
  • Must perform and pass required testing during training and pass the hands-on Proficiency Demonstrations to retain employment.
  • Ideal candidates will have experience working with jigs and fixtures, rivet upsetting and bench assembly equipment, and hand tools.
