Overview

Nuclear Fuel Services (NFS), a division of BWX Technologies, is seeking a Welding Specialist for the Back Shift in Barberton, Ohio. This key technical role focuses on providing expert guidance in welding operations within a manufacturing setting, ensuring adherence to quality standards and procedural compliance.

Responsibilities

• Support site-wide initiatives for streamlining manufacturing for welding-related applications.
• Program welding parameters on programmable equipment.
• Train and assist welders/operators in a production welding environment.
• Follow detailed manufacturing plans, providing direction to shop personnel.
• Support equipment-related improvement projects.
• Prepare and review welding/fabrication support material and training aids.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• 3 – 5 years of welding experience in a shop environment.
• Understanding of manual, semi-automatic, and mechanized/automatic welding processes.
• Ability to work on a PC using Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work well with various departments.
• Ability to follow detailed manufacturing plans.
• Superior written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Availability to work overtime and occasional weekends.
• Must be a U.S. citizen with no dual citizenship.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) clearance.
