Overview
Primoris Energy Services is seeking experienced Pipefitters to join their team in Hubbard, TX, for a major EPC power project. This role offers steady work, a strong safety culture, and the opportunity to contribute to community-focused projects.
Responsibilities
- Selects size and type of pipe and related material and equipment according to job specifications
- Inspects worksite to avoid structural weaknesses
- Plans sequence of installation to avoid obstructions and interference with other workers
- Cuts, threads, and bends pipe
- Mounts pipe hangers and brackets on walls and ceilings
- Assembles and installs a variety of metal or nonmetal pipes and pipe fittings
- Joins pipe using threaded, caulked, soldering, brazing, fused, or cemented joints
- Installs and maintains refrigeration and air conditioning systems
- Tests piping systems for leaks
- Secures pipes to structure with brackets, clamps, and hangers
- Welds pipe supports to structural steel members
- May observe production machines to detect malfunctions or verify repairs (if certified)
- May assist in lifting, positioning, and securing material during installation
- Perform minor maintenance and cleaning of tools/equipment
- Respiratory protection may be required
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- One (1) to Four (4) years of experience in Pipefitting (depending on mechanic level)
- Ability to meet client job site safety requirements (clean shaven, long sleeves, steel toe boots, etc.)
- NCCER certification preferred, but not required
- Pre-employment craft test, drug screen, physical, background check, and completion of safety training is a condition of employment
