Overview
System One is hiring a Quality Control Inspector/Welding Specialist for a contract-to-hire position in Currie, North Carolina. The successful candidate will monitor the quality of products and production procedures, assist with material handling, and perform various quality control duties.
Responsibilities
- Monitor the quality of incoming and outgoing products or materials.
- Assist with moving materials throughout the shop as needed.
- Read blueprints, plans, and specifications to understand product requirements.
- Measure product dimensions and examine functionality.
- Resolve quality-related issues promptly.
- Verify container parts and dimensions match drawings within allowable tolerances.
- Perform leak tests and other quality tests according to procedures.
- Inspect overall appearance and workmanship of completed units after painting.
- Ensure all welds meet applicable codes per client procedures.
- Support audits and coordinate with internal and external customers.
- Follow safety and quality procedures at all times.
- Verify proper gasket installation and perform visual inspections.
- Willing to perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Dependable and responsible with good communication skills (verbal & written).
- Ability to read blueprints, plans, and specifications.
- Experience measuring product dimensions and performing quality tests.
- Ability to resolve quality issues promptly and lead problem-solving efforts.
- Willing to follow safety and industry standards, including PPE requirements.
- Able to lift up to 75lbs and perform leak tests per procedures.
- Must have a Diploma or Equivalent and be 18 years or older.
- Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen, background, and E-Verify screenings.
- Successfully complete forklift certification.
- Welding knowledge preferred.
- Work experience as a Quality Inspector (1 year preferred).
- Warehouse or shop experience (1 year preferred).
