Overview
Welding Fabricators use various raw materials and tools to prepare, weld, and fabricate metal structures and components. The position requires a full-time work week in the shop located in Mooresville, NC, with responsibilities including reading blueprints, fabricating components, and ensuring proper alignment and fitting of parts.
Responsibilities
- Reading and interpreting product schematics, assembly instructions, engineering blueprints, and welding symbols.
- Verifying dimensions and product specifications.
- Measuring and marking out cutting and bending lines on material.
- Setting up and operating metalwork machinery including rollers, drill presses, tubing bending, brakes, and shears.
- Ensuring that all parts are properly fitted, aligned, and secured.
- Effectively managing and planning work to accomplish assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
- Maintaining and cleaning shop equipment and tools to ensure they are always kept in safe and usable condition.
- Providing support to other departments in Production as needed.
- Ensuring that work conditions are safe and efficient.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Demonstrated (3+ years) welding experience (Mig, TIG, and plasma cutting) on various materials preferred.
- Proficiency with metal fabrication tools including shears, rollers, plasma cutting, tube benders, and drill presses.
- Aptitude in using various mechanical hand tools and precision measurement tools.
- Knowledge of basic mathematical and computer skills.
- Demonstrate dependability, thoroughness, and excellent verbal communication skills.
- Ability to follow established procedures and practices; read instructions and blueprints.
- A strong commitment to all health and safety guidelines.
- Excellent problem-solving/troubleshooting skills.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Ability to achieve weld certification.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.

Additional Information
- Full-time position in the shop located in Mooresville, NC.
- Production hours are Monday through Thursday 6:00am-4:30pm.
- Flexibility to work additional hours as required to meet project deadlines is expected.
- Travel is not expected to be part of the job requirements.
