Overview

Mark III Construction is seeking an experienced Field Welder/Fitter for projects in the Sacramento area. The company is a full-service construction firm specializing in various markets and is expanding its operations.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, fit, produce isometric drawings and take offs, and fabricate metal components to assemble piping components.
• Consistently perform GMAW (MIG) pipe welds that meet ASME/AWS standards and maintain welding certification.
• Consistently perform SMAW (Stick) pipe welds that meet ASME/AWS standards and maintain welding certification.
• Consistently perform GTAW (TIG) pipe welds that meet ASME/AWS standards and maintain welding certification.
• Perform pipe fitting as needed.
• Work as part of a team.
• Seek ways to improve efficiency, quality, and cost control.
• Meet key business objectives including safety, quality, productivity, and delivery.
• Ensure production and quality requirements are met to satisfy the customer base.
• Determine appropriate welding techniques by reading and analyzing plans and work orders.

Requirements

• Experience in GMAW, GTAW, TIG, SMAW welding and/or pipe fitting.
• Ability to maintain welding certification.
• Ability to read and analyze plans and work orders.
• Strong teamwork skills.
• Commitment to continuous improvement.
