At Bloom Energy, we are pioneering solutions for a world powered by clean, reliable, and affordable energy. We are looking for a Welding Team Lead (Day Shift) to oversee manufacturing activities and ensure quality and safety in Newark, DE.

Responsibilities

• Maintain on-the-floor manufacturing activities in accordance with EHS policies.
• Ensure all quality requirements are met by team members daily.
• Provide hands-on welding support to manufacturing areas and engineering projects.
• Answer technical and welding questions and maintain process flow.
• Manage Oracle transactions and IOTs for material movement.
• Conduct cycle counts and inventory management.
• Create, document, and sustain standardized work practices.
• Train and mentor welding team members using a hands-on approach.
• Report attendance, quality, or performance issues to the Manufacturing Supervisor.
• Run the welding and assembly team from a process standpoint.
• Identify non-value added waste and recommend cost-effective solutions.
• Assist in the creation of Yamazumi and production line setup.
• Manage rework components for Unishell and Hotbox production.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma required, AA degree preferred.
• 2-5 years Tungsten inert gas welding and pulse welding experience required.
• Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership skills to motivate and lead teams.
• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Highly motivated self-starter and team player.
• Must demonstrate safe work practices and attention to detail.
• Familiar with lean manufacturing terminology principles.
• Experience creating standardized work.
• Experience completing station audits.
• Experience creating Yamazumi and production line setup.
• Experience completing process technician responsibilities preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 45 pounds.
• Must be flexible to work fluctuating schedules if needed.
