Overview

Ecobat is seeking individuals with mechanical aptitude and stick welding experience to join our Maintenance department. The company is a leader in the collection, recycling, and production of energy storage solutions and other essential commodities.

Responsibilities

• Performs corrective and preventative mechanical maintenance.
• Troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains mechanical equipment and systems using schematics, drawings, and other technical documentation.
• Performs mechanical installation of new plant equipment.
• Repairs processing equipment such as pumps, piping, and machinery components.
• Performs steel fabrications, repairs, and modifications.
• Keeps work area neat, clean, and free of debris.
• Instructs, implements, and enforces the company safety program and site-specific safety requirements.
• Complies with all environmental, health, safety, and housekeeping programs.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or higher classifications.

Requirements

• 2-3 years’ recent industrial or related experience in millwright, industrial maintenance, or machine repair work.
• Ability to pass S.M.A.W welding test.
• Knowledge of various metal properties.
• Ability to read schematics and blueprints.
• Ability to complete assigned work in a safe manner.
• Ability to safely demonstrate shop and hand tool operation.
• Ability to utilize computer operating systems.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Average leadership skills, work ethic and problem solving.
• Able to work any shift, overtime, and rotating weekends.
