Overview

Optimized Process Designs, LLC (OPD) is seeking a Laborer for their jobsite in Baytown, TX. OPD is an engineering and construction company specializing in the natural gas, natural gas liquids, and petrochemical industries, known for its strong reputation and commitment to safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Perform general housekeeping tasks.
• Shovel dirt, compact dirt, and break or chip concrete.
• Remove concrete forms.
• Assist craft workers by carrying tools and moving materials to work areas.
• Use tools such as jack hammers, dirt compactors, dirt shovels, chipping guns/hammers, framing hammers, and crow bars.
• Complete all other duties as required.

Requirements

• Must actively participate in a strong safety culture.
• Recognize safety hazards and risks.
• Participate in onsite safety meetings.
• Follow OPD and client safety policies and procedures.
• Be aware of changing conditions on an active jobsite.
• Be on time to the jobsite each day ready for work.
• Display a positive attitude and work well in a team environment.
• Capable of working in outdoor weather conditions including extreme heat, humidity, and cold.
• Able to lift and carry awkward objects up to 60 lbs.
• Stand for extended periods of time up to 11 hours per day.
• Perform physical activities such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, crawling, twisting, reaching, and bending regularly.
• Work on elevated platforms and maintain balance while wearing a full-body harness and lanyard.
• Have good hand-eye coordination.

Additional Information

• Travel is required with extended periods away from home in remote areas.
• Must be willing to work shifts up to 12 hours per day and 7 days per week.
• Must attend mandatory safety meetings.
