Overview

The City of Goodyear is seeking a Grounds Equipment Mechanic to perform skilled mechanical repairs and maintenance on grounds equipment, including mowers and utility vehicles. Responsibilities

• Perform journeyman level repairs and welding on municipal grounds equipment.
• Inspect and diagnose reported problems, ordering necessary parts for repair.
• Develop and maintain a preventative predictive maintenance program.
• Maintain the shop area by inspecting and cleaning tools and equipment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED with at least 6 months of advanced study or training.
• Minimum one year of experience in a related field.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Ability to read shop repair manuals and work orders.
• Ability to perform general math calculations.
• Ability to write repair orders and communicate via email.
