Overview
The Millwright Mechanic position at Central Arizona Project involves maintaining and operating large pumping plants and related equipment. Central Arizona Project is a vital water supply system for over 6 million people in Arizona, fostering a team-oriented and safety-focused work culture.
Responsibilities
- Ensure operational availability and efficient operation of large pumping plants and related systems.
- Perform overhauls, installations, modifications, troubleshooting, and maintenance of plant equipment.
- Respond to operational emergencies during on and off hours.
- Work primarily at pumping plants and other system facilities across Arizona.
Requirements
- Completion of a related state or federal certified Mechanical Apprenticeship or equivalent education and experience.
- At least three years of journeyman-level work experience in an industrial mechanical environment.
- A valid driver's license and a good driving record.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Crane and welding experience preferred.
