Overview

Venturi Supply is a national network of distributors specializing in pipe, valves, fittings, tanks, and industrial supplies. The Welding/Fabrication Manager will supervise a team of welders and fabricators to meet production goals while ensuring customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Directs entire fabrication production workflow.
• Oversees interpretation of drawings/specification.
• Demonstrates understanding of core welding technologies and educates team.
• Interfaces with various levels in the organization and shares information as required.
• Enforces established safety guidelines; promotes a safe workplace.
• Maintains accurate records and metrics.
• Identifies, documents, and implements opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Maintains a working knowledge of all operating systems pertaining to the work area.
• Hires, trains, supervises, motivates, and develops fabrication staff; manages schedules and workflow.
• Performs additional duties as assigned or required.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED; college degree preferred.
• Certified in welding and forklift certification.
• 5+ years of experience in fabrication supervision in the same or similar industry.
• 1+ years successfully managing a team of employees.
• Computer literate; proficient with MS Office 365.
• Expert level distribution-specific ERP systems skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbal.
• Thrives in a collaborative team environment.
• Detail-oriented work style comfortable with multiple priorities.
• Ability to pass a background check, MVR check, and drug test.
