As a Piping Apprentice, you will receive paid on-the-job training while learning essential skills in pipefitting and mechanical systems.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation, layout, and fabrication of piping systems
- Learn to interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and piping schematics
- Measure, cut, thread, groove, and assemble pipes and fittings
- Support installation of mechanical equipment, valves, supports, and hangers
- Practice safe use of hand tools, power tools, and specialty pipefitting equipment
- Work alongside experienced journeyman pipefitters and field supervisors
- Attend weekly ABC classes as part of the training curriculum
- Progress through skill evaluations and training milestones each year
- Follow all TDIndustries safety protocols and quality standards
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Interest in pipefitting, construction, mechanical systems, or hands-on work
- Commitment to completing the full 4-year apprenticeship
- Ability to work safely on active job sites and in various environments
- Reliable transportation to job sites and ABC classes
- Team-oriented attitude, strong communication skills, and a willingness to learn
