Overview

TDIndustries, founded in 1946, is a premier, employee-owned Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) company that delivers full-lifecycle building solutions across Texas and the Southwest. As a Piping Apprentice, you will receive paid on-the-job training while learning essential skills in pipefitting and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the installation, layout, and fabrication of piping systems
  • Learn to interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and piping schematics
  • Measure, cut, thread, groove, and assemble pipes and fittings
  • Support installation of mechanical equipment, valves, supports, and hangers
  • Practice safe use of hand tools, power tools, and specialty pipefitting equipment
  • Work alongside experienced journeyman pipefitters and field supervisors
  • Attend weekly ABC classes as part of the training curriculum
  • Progress through skill evaluations and training milestones each year
  • Follow all TDIndustries safety protocols and quality standards

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Interest in pipefitting, construction, mechanical systems, or hands-on work
  • Commitment to completing the full 4-year apprenticeship
  • Ability to work safely on active job sites and in various environments
  • Reliable transportation to job sites and ABC classes
  • Team-oriented attitude, strong communication skills, and a willingness to learn
