Overview

Manitou Group is seeking a Welder to safely perform welding tasks on heavy mechanical products in Yankton, South Dakota. The company values its employees and promotes a diverse and inclusive work environment across its global operations.

Responsibilities

• Safely perform welding duties.
• Weld components with specified equipment according to procedures and blueprints.
• Acquire the 'basic' Weld Certification as a minimum requirement.
• Perform a range of welds from simple to complex in various positions.
• Set up and lay out work using fixtures and guides.
• Operate related equipment and tools including forklifts and grinders.
• Read and understand job order specifications and blueprints.
• Maintain work performance in accordance with Manitou standards.
• Assist in other assigned duties as qualified.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment.

Requirements

• Must have or acquire the 'basic' Weld Certification.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Willingness to train or work outside scheduled shifts.
• Regular and reliable attendance required.
• Must perform work safely in accordance with company policies.

Additional Information

• Shifts available: 1st Shift – Monday-Thursday 5a-3:30p or 2nd Shift – Monday-Thursday 3:15p-1:45a.
• 15% shift differential for 2nd Shift.
• Location: Yankton, South Dakota.
• No travel required.
