Overview
Pro Beam USA Inc. is seeking an Automated Welding Operator to operate and program automated welding equipment, primarily focusing on electron beam welding systems. This full-time position offers training for candidates without prior EB experience and opportunities for career development within a global technology leader in precision joining solutions.
Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor electron beam welding systems and other automated welding equipment.
- Follow established weld procedures, parameter sheets, and work instructions to produce high-quality welds.
- Perform pre- and post-weld inspections including visual checks and basic dimensional verification.
- Support equipment calibration, routine maintenance, and housekeeping of the welding area.
- Assist senior technical staff in developing and refining welding parameters for new customer parts.
- Identify and report process deviations, equipment issues, or weld quality concerns.
- Participate in troubleshooting activities and contribute observations from machine operation.
- Support process trials and sample production for new customer programs.
- Represent Pro Beam USA professionally during customer interactions.
- Support customer demonstrations and assist with field service team as needed.
- Complete production records, traveler documents, and quality logs accurately.
- Follow documentation requirements associated with aerospace and defense programs.
- Contribute to maintaining an organized, compliant, and audit-ready work environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; an Associate's degree or vocational certification is a plus.
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience operating automated or CNC-controlled machinery.
- Hands-on experience with electron beam welding, laser beam welding, plasma arc welding, or advanced CNC machinery.
- Ability to read and follow weld procedures, technical drawings, and work instructions.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with precision equipment.
- Detail-oriented and safety-conscious with a consistent attendance record.
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

- Location: Lombard, IL with domestic and international travel as needed.
