Overview

We are seeking a Welder for a manufacturer in Santa Fe Springs, CA, who will produce X-ray quality welds for stainless and carbon steel structures and pipes using MIG and TIG welding methods.

Responsibilities

• Produce X-ray quality welds for both stainless and carbon steel structures and pipes.
• Expertly weld with MIG and TIG for both stainless and carbon steel.
• Layout and weld mild steel and stainless steel for various fabrication projects.
• Maintain high-quality welds in a safe manner.
• Ensure a productive, efficient, and safe workplace.
• Develop specific goals and plans to prioritize and organize work.
• Understand and adhere to the defined scope of work.
• Communicate and resolve problems in an organized manner.
• Efficiently perform welding shop work.

Requirements

• 5-10 years of hands-on experience in layout, fitting, and welding of structural steel, pipe, plate, and sheet metal.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Expert-level knowledge of welding methods and quality control.
• Working knowledge of tools and equipment including overhead cranes, saws, ironworkers, shears, brakes, and welding equipment.
• Ability to communicate and work effectively with managers, field personnel, customers, and employees.
