Overview

Primetals Technologies USA is a leading partner for engineering, plant construction, and lifecycle services in the metal industry, providing innovative solutions for sustainability and competitiveness. They are seeking an experienced Weld/Manufacturing/Process Engineer for their MS-Warren, OH location to oversee welding quality and develop new processes.

Responsibilities

• Review, critique, and update all existing group welding procedures and specifications.
• Create new welding procedures and specifications as required.
• Oversee training requirements of group welders as needed.
• Work with Engineering functions to lead the development of new processes involving various thermal spray techniques and/or laser deposition processes.

Requirements

• AWS Certified Welding Engineer or equivalent.
• Minimum of 10 years experience as a Welding Engineer or equivalent.
• Bachelor's degree in Material Science or Engineering is a plus, but not required.
• Ability to travel, including occasional overseas travel for process development.
• Ability to work with and gain the trust of hands-on welding personnel.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in multiple MS locations.
• Self-motivation and being a team player.
