Overview
The Service Welder II position at Ring Power Corporation involves conducting welding tasks safely and efficiently while adhering to company policies and industry standards. Responsibilities
- Conduct all assigned work safely, adhering to safety and environmental policies.
- Complete required technician training and stay updated on technical changes.
- Maintain a minimum set of tools for disassembling and assembling machine components.
- Interpret structural drawings and perform layout and assembly functions with minimal supervision.
- Prepare parts for welding and perform welding as per experience or specified procedures.
- Maintain a neat work area and assist with facility appearance and shop conditions.
- Complete documentation of repairs performed and account for repair times.
- Monitor job expenses versus estimates and inform the supervisor of any cost overruns.
- Support team efforts by completing tasks on time while maintaining safety and quality.
- Train and mentor others in the department.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED.
- 3-4 years of welding and fabricating experience.
- Completed required training curriculum to be designated a Service Welder II.
- 3g and 4G SMAW, FCAW, GMAW certifications.
- Thorough knowledge of safety requirements related to welding and cutting.
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally with employees and customers.
Additional Information
- Work is typically performed during regular business hours with occasional night, holiday, and weekend requirements.
- Job has no supervisory responsibility but may involve working independently or as part of a team.
