Overview

Great Dane is seeking a Robotic Welding Operator for the 2nd shift to join their expanding team, focusing on high safety standards and innovative manufacturing solutions. The operator will be responsible for the fabrication of Upper Coupler Assemblies using various robotic and welding equipment.

Responsibilities

• Set welding machine parameters including gas, volts, amps, and wire speed.
• Properly set Automated Tooling according to work orders.
• Load raw materials and parts into Automated Tooling.
• Conduct initial daily startup on machines and ensure product specifications are met.
• Inspect products as per standard operating procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of equipment and work area.
• Adhere to all safety requirements including LOTO.
• Identify and repair weld defects using manual processes.
• Meet established cycle times.
• Follow nonconforming material processes.
• Read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols accurately.
• Minimize scrap and waste while maintaining production efficiency.
• Operate welding and fabrication equipment including robotic systems.
• May require training of other employees.
• Perform other routine duties as needed.

Requirements

• 3+ years of Robotic weld/fabrication experience preferred.
• Welding Technology Certificate preferred.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Robot experience required (Fanuc, Yaskawa, ABB, Kuka).
• Basic automated machine knowledge required.
