Overview

Nikkiso Clean Energy & Industrial Gases is a leading provider of cryogenic pumps and solutions for the LNG, liquefied hydrogen, and industrial gases industries. The Welder Helper will assist welders with various support activities to facilitate the welding process while adhering to safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist welders in preparing materials and equipment for welding, such as drilling, grinding, and cutting pipe.
• Clean and inspect equipment and tools before and after use.
• Move and position metal components for Welder operation.
• Hold or clamp metal parts during assembly and welding.
• Monitor inventory of welding supplies and request restock as needed.
• Follow all regulatory safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE.
• Perform other job duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years’ experience in a welding support role is preferred.
• Basic understanding of welding techniques.
• Familiarity with welding equipment and tools.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to work in a noisy environment with exposure to dust, fumes, and heat.
