Overview

HMT is seeking a capable Welder responsible for cutting and joining metals and other materials at facilities or construction sites, ensuring a safe foundation for strong infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have experience with welding equipment and a strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Explore and follow blueprints and drawings, taking measurements to plan layout and procedures.
• Prepare the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements.
• Prepare components for welding according to specifications.
• Use angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded.
• Use calipers, rulers, and clamp pieces to align components.
• Use manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions to weld components.
• Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps.
• Check welded surfaces and structures for flaws by testing and inspecting them.
• Keep equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years experience as a Welder using Flux Core (FCAW) and Stick (SMAW).
• Must be able to pass 2G/3G/4G Welding Test.
• Must have TWIC Card.
• Solid experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures.
• Experience with cutting torch and arc gouging.
• Solid experience using electrical or manual tools.
• Excellent knowledge of relative safety standards.
• Good ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
• Successful completion of a relevant apprenticeship program is required.
• Professional Certification, such as AWS welding certificate, will be a bonus.
