Overview

Trane Technologies is a world leader in creating sustainable climate solutions for buildings, homes, and transportation. They are seeking an experienced Production Welder to join their team, focusing on safety and quality in a full-time role.

Responsibilities

  • Weld a variety of component parts and assemblies.
  • Use welders, inspection tools, jigs, fixtures, pallet jacks, and hoists.
  • Collaborate with engineering to answer welding questions.
  • Record time using the time clock.
  • Order consumable parts using the order system.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment using 5S principles.
  • Stage welded parts and assemblies in an orderly fashion.
  • Complete data collection for yields and efficiencies.
  • Use Oracle software to complete WIP jobs.
  • Package parts as required.
  • Redline processes and procedures as necessary.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment.
  • Complete other assigned tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and interpret welding drawings.
  • Check own work for accuracy.
  • Ability to MIG and TIG weld.
  • Ability to weld steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
  • Experience welding parts or components to make top-level assemblies.
  • Work from prints or specifications, adjusting to meet tolerances.
  • Occasionally make jigs and fixtures.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical degree/certificate preferred.

Additional Information

  • On-Site work for 5 days a week.
  • Full-time position working 1st shift from 5:30am to 4:00pm, Monday to Thursday.
