Overview
Trane Technologies is a world leader in creating sustainable climate solutions for buildings, homes, and transportation. They are seeking an experienced Production Welder to join their team, focusing on safety and quality in a full-time role.
Responsibilities
- Weld a variety of component parts and assemblies.
- Use welders, inspection tools, jigs, fixtures, pallet jacks, and hoists.
- Collaborate with engineering to answer welding questions.
- Record time using the time clock.
- Order consumable parts using the order system.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment using 5S principles.
- Stage welded parts and assemblies in an orderly fashion.
- Complete data collection for yields and efficiencies.
- Use Oracle software to complete WIP jobs.
- Package parts as required.
- Redline processes and procedures as necessary.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment.
- Complete other assigned tasks as needed.
Requirements
- Ability to read and interpret welding drawings.
- Check own work for accuracy.
- Ability to MIG and TIG weld.
- Ability to weld steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
- Experience welding parts or components to make top-level assemblies.
- Work from prints or specifications, adjusting to meet tolerances.
- Occasionally make jigs and fixtures.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- High school diploma or GED required; technical degree/certificate preferred.
