Overview
The Assembler III position involves fabricating component parts or assembling finished products according to customer specifications. The role requires experience in welding and maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate welder and welding machinery and tools.
- Complete work area set up.
- Fit parts together according to prescribed manner and quality standards.
- Operate equipment and tools as required to complete assembly process.
- Prevent and control waste of raw material.
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure compliance with standards.
- Ensure work area is safe, clean, and organized, and that equipment is safe to operate.
- Complete pre-shift/startup equipment inspection checklist and report any problems or concerns.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Provide basic TPM to equipment and complete TPM paperwork when required.
- Maintain production records as required.
- Perform duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards.
- Participate in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Working knowledge of company products and specifications.
- Ability to accurately read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Ability and skill to MIG weld and operate fabrication shop machinery.
- Ability to measure accurately.
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations applicable to a shop environment.
- Effective communication, teamwork, production, and stress management skills.
- Ability to easily adapt to changing situations in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide with or without using a calculator.
- Computer literate.
