Overview

The Assembler III position involves fabricating component parts or assembling finished products according to customer specifications. The role requires experience in welding and maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate welder and welding machinery and tools.
  • Complete work area set up.
  • Fit parts together according to prescribed manner and quality standards.
  • Operate equipment and tools as required to complete assembly process.
  • Prevent and control waste of raw material.
  • Conduct quality inspections to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Ensure work area is safe, clean, and organized, and that equipment is safe to operate.
  • Complete pre-shift/startup equipment inspection checklist and report any problems or concerns.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
  • Provide basic TPM to equipment and complete TPM paperwork when required.
  • Maintain production records as required.
  • Perform duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards.
  • Participate in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of company products and specifications.
  • Ability to accurately read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Ability and skill to MIG weld and operate fabrication shop machinery.
  • Ability to measure accurately.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA regulations applicable to a shop environment.
  • Effective communication, teamwork, production, and stress management skills.
  • Ability to easily adapt to changing situations in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide with or without using a calculator.
  • Computer literate.
