Overview
The Robotic Welder Programmer for Miller or Lincoln welding systems creates, tests, and optimizes programs for robotic welding and automation systems to meet customer specifications and production goals.
Responsibilities
- Develops, tests, and implements robot programs for welding using Fanuc, Copilot or Panda Suite software.
- Adjusts welding parameters to maximize weld quality, consistency, and cycle times.
- Coordinates front-end reach reviews, manages robot downloads, and assists with system integration and troubleshooting.
- Creates setup sheets, procedures, and technical documentation for robotic applications.
- Inspects finished parts for adherence to blueprints, welding symbols, and customer specifications.
- Performs preventative maintenance on robotic cells and maintains records of programs and changes.
- Diagnoses and resolves minor robot, fixture, or weld quality issues during production.
- Must be experienced in Mig welding to touch up welds as needed.
- Strictly follows safety protocols and ensures proper functioning of safety equipment.
- Communicates effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
Requirements
- Ability to perform essential duties.
- Degree in Mechanical/Robotics Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of two years in robotics and Mig welding applications.
- Experience with Fanuc, Copilot or Panda Suite Software.
- Successful completion of an internal welding test.
- Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
