Overview

Mueller, now part of the Cornerstone Building Brands family, is seeking a Welder 1 to support the structural welding department by providing individual service and helping to build frames for customer buildings.

Responsibilities

• Join, fabricate, and repair metal and other weldable materials using appropriate welding techniques.
• Interpret blueprints, specifications, diagrams, or schematics to determine the appropriate welding process.
• Receive job duties from the production lead/supervisor.
• Follow work procedures and tool and material requirements.
• Select and set up welding equipment.
• Clean and prepare surfaces to be welded.
• Fabricate metal building and metal roofing components.
• Use a rod or wire and heat to join metals.
• Use a plasma torch, grinding wheel, band saw, or other instruments for cutting metal.
• Ensure welds meet standards and specifications.
• Perform other projects and responsibilities as directed.
