Overview

Trane Technologies is a world leader in creating sustainable climate solutions for buildings, homes, and transportation. The company is seeking an experienced Production Welder to set up and run low volume production work while prioritizing safety and quality.

Responsibilities

  • Weld a variety of component parts and assemblies
  • Use welders, inspection tools, jigs, fixtures, pallet jacks, and hoists
  • Work with engineering to answer welding questions as needed
  • Record time using the time clock
  • Order consumable parts using the order system
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment using 5S principles
  • Stage welded parts and assemblies in an orderly fashion
  • Complete required information for data collection of yields and efficiencies
  • Use Oracle software to complete WIP jobs
  • Package parts as required
  • Redline processes and procedures as necessary
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment
  • Complete other assigned duties as needed

Requirements

  • Ability to read and interpret welding drawings
  • Check own work for accuracy
  • Ability to MIG and TIG weld
  • Ability to weld steel, aluminum, and stainless steel
  • Experience welding parts or components to make top level assemblies
  • Work from prints or specifications, adjusting and fitting to meet tolerances
  • Occasionally make jigs and fixtures
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Ability to maintain prescribed productivity levels for WIP jobs
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical degree/certificate preferred

Additional Information

  • Full-time position working 1st shift from 5:30am to 4:00pm, Monday to Thursday
