The SEC Welder is responsible for welding tasks essential to the installation, maintenance, and repair of natural gas pipelines, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform welding operations for the installation, maintenance, and repair of natural gas pipelines.
- Operate torches, power supplies, and welding equipment to fuse metal components securely.
- Strike arcs by touching electrodes to metal surfaces, completing electrical circuits.
- Assist in pipeline construction, repair, and integrity maintenance.
- Work in various environments, including job sites and fabrication shops.
- Pass pipe welding test for various gas companies, conforming with ASME certification requirements.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety protocols, and quality standards.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
- OQ (Operator Qualification) certification in pipeline welding.
- Three (3) years of welding experience is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient knowledge of gas installation techniques and industry standards.
- Ability to think practically and creatively to implement the best safety practices.
- Ability to respond quickly and efficiently to emergency situations.

Additional Information
- Able and willing to work long hours including day, night, and weekend shifts as needed.
- Able to travel to project sites typically within a 4-hour radius of the home office.
- Able to work in outside environments being subjected to weather changes, noise, vibrations, and job hazards.
